CodaMusic just launched 3 weeks ago. The first fully licensed streaming company to launch in 10 years. We have introduced a new payment model for artists. Fans have the ability to support their favorite artists with $1 out of the recurring $10.99 subscription going to their favorite artists each month. The artists are paid net 30 on this fan payment in addition to their streams. The platform is a blend of Instagram and Spotify allowing artists to promote themselves via social without gatekept editorial playlists. There is a solution!

Lastly, stop focusing on per stream payout. All the deals are the same for DSPs. The per stream payout is determined by number of subscribers. Spotify has the most so therefore pays out the least per stream. Let’s get back to getting creators paid and stop chasing algorithmic playlists. www.codamusic.me

Thanks, will take a look and dm you as we should have a chat.

Fully aware of the pro rata streaming rates that along with many other issues make streaming payouts confusing and overly complicated.

Really good article. Shocking about the 72,000 singles in the 70s vs 120,000 new releases daily now.
